THE SICRET FOR THE PERFECT MAINTENANCE OF YOUR CARPETS

There are a few basic rules to keep in mind in order to give your carpet a long lifetime. Remember not to keep your carpet in dark narrow spaces, and we highly suggest you to avoid excessively wet areas. When possible, avoid putting heavy pieces of furniture directly onto a carpet. In case this is the only solution, use plastic or glass castor cups under the feet of furniture to help spread the weight of the piece. The pile of a carpet is formed by tufts of wool emerging from knots. Foot traffic and soiling end up to flatten the surface of the carpet over time; ornamental motifs may be still clearly outline, but the pile loses its original thickness. Carpets wear more rapidly where the pile fibres are bent. Each four or five years it is therefore recommended to have the carpet washed to bring back the pile vitality.
